The Indian Army Education Loan Scheme provides serving personnel and their dependents with up to Rs 10 lakh for higher education at an effective interest rate of 7% and effective ROI of 3.5% to 3.8%, requiring no collateral for a duration of maximum 5 years or 6 months before retirement.
Types of loans that can be availed:
- Fresh Applicant
- Applying for top up and follow up loan
- For refinancing an existing loan availed from Banks/NBF
Who are eligible?
- Serving Personnel (Re-employed are not eligible)
- Wards of Serving Personnel
- Dependent Sister
