Indian Air Force Technical Branch में अब GATE से Direct Entry

Indian Air Force ने Technical Branch Officer recruitment के लिए नया GATE-based entry scheme शुरू किया है। अब valid GATE score वाले engineering graduates को AFCAT written exam नहीं देना होगा और उन्हें सीधे AFSB testing के लिए shortlist किया जाएगा।

रात के लगभग 2 बजे होंगे। Hostel की corridor में अभी भी कुछ कमरे की बत्तिया जल रहीं थी। किसी की desk पर GATE preparation की books खुली थीं… कहीं laptop पर mock test चल रहा था… और कहीं कोई engineering student चुपचाप ceiling को देख रहा था।

क्योंकि हर defence aspirant जानता है — uniform सिर्फ सपना नहीं होती… वह सालों की तैयारी, rejection, pressure और उम्मीद का दूसरा नाम होती है। लेकिन अब Indian Air Force ने engineering graduates के लिए उस सफर का एक बड़ा हिस्सा बदल दिया है। 

अब Technical Branch में Officer बनने के लिए हर candidate को AFCAT written exam देना जरूरी नहीं होगा। अगर आपके पास valid GATE score है… तो रास्ता अब सीधे Air Force Selection Board तक जा सकता है। और यही बदलाव इस announcement को सिर्फ recruitment update नहीं… बल्कि हजारों defence aspirants के लिए एक strategic turning point बनाता है।

आखिर Indian Air Force ने क्या बदला है?

भारतीय वायु सेना ने Technical Branch Officers recruitment के लिए एक नया GATE-based entry scheme शुरू किया है।

इस नई व्यवस्था के तहत:

• valid GATE score वाले candidates
• सीधे Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) testing के लिए shortlist किए जा सकते हैं
• उन्हें AFCAT written exam देने की जरूरत नहीं होगी

यानी अब engineering talent को filter करने के लिए Indian Air Force सीधे national-level technical aptitude benchmark का इस्तेमाल करेगी।

हालांकि एक महत्वपूर्ण बात यहां समझना जरूरी है।

यह entry route सिर्फ Technical Branch के लिए लागू होगा।

बाकी branches जैसे Flying Branch, Administration, Logistics, Education, Accounts या Meteorology अभी भी AFCAT के जरिए ही recruit होंगी।

यह बदलाव इतना बड़ा क्यों माना जा रहा है?

पहली नजर में यह सिर्फ recruitment process में बदलाव लग सकता है।

लेकिन defence ecosystem के अंदर देखें… तो यह Indian Air Force की सोच में एक बड़ा strategic shift दिखाई देता है।

आज की modern warfare सिर्फ fighter jets या missiles तक सीमित नहीं है।

अब battlefields बदल चुके हैं।

अब AFCAT का क्या होगा?

यहां कई aspirants confusion में हैं।

क्या AFCAT खत्म हो रहा है?

नहीं।

AFCAT अभी भी Indian Air Force की primary recruitment examination रहेगी।

विशेषकर:

• Flying Branch
• Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches
• और Technical Branch के non-GATE applicants

सभी के लिए AFCAT पहले की तरह जारी रहेगा। दरअसल Air Force ने candidates को flexibility दी है।

अगर आप eligible हैं… तो आप:

• AFCAT route से भी apply कर सकते हैं
• GATE entry route से भी
• या दोनों के जरिए simultaneously apply कर सकते हैं

यह engineering aspirants के लिए chances बढ़ाने वाला बड़ा advantage माना जा रहा है।

कौन-कौन से candidates eligible होंगे?

Indian Air Force ने स्पष्ट किया है कि educational qualifications पहले जैसी ही रहेंगी।

मुख्य eligibility conditions में शामिल हैं:

• Class 12 में Physics और Mathematics
• दोनों subjects में minimum 50% marks
• Full-time 4-year BE/BTech degree
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks
• Valid GATE score
• Age generally 20–26 years range में

साथ ही Air Force ने accepted GATE subjects और engineering streams की official list भी जारी की है।

इसमें Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Communication Systems जैसे कई technical streams शामिल हैं।

Selection process अब कैसे काम करेगा?

यहीं सबसे बड़ा बदलाव दिखाई देता है।

पहले Technical Branch aspirants को AFCAT written exam देना पड़ता था।

अब GATE score वाले eligible candidates:

• सीधे screening stage पार कर सकते हैं
• और direct AFSB testing के लिए shortlist हो सकते हैं

लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि selection आसान हो गया है।

असल चुनौती अभी भी AFSB में ही रहती है।

AFSB के वो 5 दिन… जहां सिर्फ marks नहीं चलते

कई defence aspirants बताते हैं कि AFSB interview सिर्फ interview नहीं होता।

वह pressure, leadership, confidence, teamwork और personality का complete psychological assessment होता है।

Day 1 पर OIR और PPDT screening होती है।

इसके बाद:

• psychological tests
• group tasks
• outdoor leadership activities
• personal interview
• officer-like qualities assessment

सबकुछ लगातार evaluate किया जाता है।

यानी Air Force सिर्फ engineer नहीं ढूंढ रही…

वह ऐसे officers तलाश रही है जो pressure के बीच calm decision ले सकें।

Medicals अब भी सबसे critical stage रहेंगे

Recommended candidates को military hospitals में detailed medical examination से गुजरना होगा।

इसमें:

• eyesight
• hearing
• physical fitness
• cardiovascular health
• aviation-related standards

सभी जांचे जाते हैं।

क्योंकि Air Force environment में technical excellence के साथ physical robustness भी equally critical होती है।

यह move defence aspirants के लिए game changer क्यों माना जा रहा है?

GATE, PSU exams, placements, AFCAT — सब अलग pressure create करते हैं।
